THE HOLLIES FARM SHOP CELEBRATES 60 YEARS OF BUSINESS IN 2019 #Blog

The Hollies Farm Shop is a family business that has been growing since 1959, established almost 60 years ago as an honesty box at the roadside. Phil, Ed & Sue Cowap are the third generation in their family’s award-winning business.

Phil, Ed, Sue and their family are a close family driven by their passion for business and a commitment to success since their Grandfather arrived 60 years ago. A family extended by their ever-growing team around them.  Owners Phil & Ed Cowap said, “The Hollies has evolved so much since 1959, but what has never changed is all the hard work and dedication that goes into the business, now not just from our family but from our wonderful team.”

To celebrate our Diamond anniversary there will be a year of events and activities throughout 2019.  To launch the anniversary, we have been busy looking back through 60 years of memories of The Hollies and created a 60-year magazine that has been published brimming with family history, team chatter and decades of photos!

The magazine is available from 18th October 2018 with a recommended charity donation of £5.  Monies will be donated into an honesty box; a nostalgic nod to our origins.  All the money collected over the year will be donated to two local charities; St Luke’s Cheshire Hospice and Tarporley War Memorial Hospital.  Both charities offer valuable services to our local community.  “We hope to raise at least £10,000 for these charities,” said Mindy Cowap “through a year of fundraising and anniversary magazine sales.”  We are hoping to raise a great amount for our chosen charities and we can’t do it without you!

Alexis Redmond MBE, High Sheriff of Cheshire said a few words on our upcoming anniversary, “from an honesty box at the side of the road to multiple award-winning sites in Cheshire and Scotland. What a great journey of continuous expansion, development and excellence.  Congratulations on 60 years of a family business so successfully delivering wonderful local delights to local communities…and supporting such worthwhile charitable causes!  Here’s to another 60 years, when our own growing family will continue to enjoy and support a great local business.”

Thank you to everyone for your continued support over the last 60 years!
