Chester’s most celebrated restaurant, ‘Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor’, has retained a place as one of the Top 50 Restaurants in the country, compiled by the UK’s best selling restaurant guide, the Good Food Guide.

The Good Food Guide is released every year and is devised by a team of inspectors who include ex-restaurateurs, chefs, food critics and experienced writers. Some restaurants will appear in the Guide regularly but they must earn their place as the list is compiled and written from scratch every year. Although the Good Food Guide is written by inspectors, reader feedback and recommendation is taken into account so that any given review is based on several meals.

The Top 50 list highlights those restaurants that the inspectors deem the best in the country.

Chef Simon Radley commented: “To feature in the Good Food Guide’s Top 50 is a real testament to the continued creativity of my team in the kitchen and to the quality of our regional farmers and producers.”

He added: “They had ten new entries in the Top 50 this year so as one of the more established restaurants, it’s just wonderful that our customers continue to take the time to review and support us.”
