Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre is a fantastic day out to visit the world-famous Lovell Radio telescope. Visitors can get closer to the telescope than ever before on the observational pathway, which stretches 180 degrees around the base.
During your visit you can take a trip to Mars in the 3D theatre, walk around the small exhibition and shop area or take a relaxing lunch in the café.
The arboretum is a tree lovers’ paradise as it offers over 2,500 species of trees and scrubs across 35 acres of land.
Normal opening hours are from 10.30am to 5pm. Last admission 1 hour before closing.
Winter opening hours apply from 2 November 2010 to 25 March 201 1inclusively. During the winter, the centre is closed on Mondays, open at 10.30am to 3pm on Tuesdays through Fridays, and 11am to 4pm on weekends.
We are also closed 20th-26th 26 December 2010 and on 1 January 2011.

By rail From Goostrey. Turn right down Station Road to the church in Goostrey village. Turn right at church and follow country roads, do not turn off this road, even though you appear to be heading away from the telescope. The road goes over the railway bridge and the entrance is on the right hand side.
From A535 follow Holmes Chapel A535 signs to Chelford. Jodrell Bank is signposted.
