With over 2,500 species of trees and shrubs, this arboretum, next to the world famous Lovell Radio Telescope is a tree lovers’ paradise.
Enjoy the spectacular colours in spring and autumn or better still, plan your visit around the ‘Garden Planet’ programme running from June. Centred on World Environment Day, visitors can get involved in a variety of ecological initiatives including the Skies Eye View.
Normal opening hours are from 10.30am to 5pm. Last admission 1 hour before closing.
Winter opening hours apply from 2 November 2009 through to 19 March 2010 inclusively. During the winter, the Visitor Centre is closed on Mondays, open 10.30am to 3pm on Tuesdays through Fridays, and 11am to 4pm on weekends.
We are closed between 1 and 5 March 2010 inclusively. We are also closed between the 20 and 26 December 2010, and on the 1 January 2011.

By rail From Goostrey. Turn right down Station Road to the church in Goostrey village. Turn right at church and follow country roads, do not turn off this road, even though you appear to be heading away from the telescope. The road goes over the railway bridge and the entrance is on the right hand side.
From A535 follow Holmes Chapel A535 signs to Chelford. Jodrell Bank is signposted.
