This family-run delicatessen dates back to 1875, though the current shop on Sandbach's cobbled square opening just 25 years ago. David Williams' current preoccupation is blended cheeses, for which he has been snapping up prizes for for the past 17 years.
To date, more than 30 different flavours have been created using locally-produced cheeses from Belton Farms at Whitchurch - they are constantly being added to as new recipes are tried and tested. But competitors are welcome too, the Williams family also stock a huge variety of English and continental cheese for sale.
Other goods to pick up include locally-sourced bread, cakes, honey and pies.
