43 - The Willington Fruit Farm is your first destination. Apples are the mainstay of this producer. Pick your own from its orchard in season, or buy some of the other produce grown here in the farm shop.

44 - Just a minute down the road you’ll find Willington Hall Hotel. This grand house, built in the 18th century, is now a favourite destination for a leisure break, serving local food in its restaurant.

45 - Drive on for ten minutes to reach Cabbage Hall, a cool dining destination. You’ll be wowed by the smart interiors and the modern classics prepared by chef-owner, Robert Kisby.

46 - Less than a minute away, pull up at one of the area’s two Hollies Farm Shops. The cream of Cheshire’s producers are featured on the shelves here.

47 - Another minute further, Nunsmere Hall Hotel offers superior lodgings and culinary excellence – a visit to its restaurant is a special occasion.

48 - The Duke of Portland is your next stop, 20 minutes’ drive away. The chefs in the kitchen carefully source the very best ingredients on offer in the area to rustle up gourmet seasonal meals at this pub-restaurant.

49 - Ten minutes’ drive brings you to Riverside Organics. This farm prides itself on the fresh produce and meat sold in its farm shop. But look out, too, for special events, including open days, and take a walk or cycle along its new network of paths.

50 - Ten minutes further on, the Lion Salt Works, a 19th century open pan salt works, is being turned into a museum where visitors can learn all about this essential mineral.

51 - Six minutes to the last stop, the home of Great Budworth Real Dairy Ice Cream. Enjoy a scoop of your favourite flavour, while taking in the pretty village in which this farm is set.
