- Start at The Family Jam Production and B&B, just off the Sandstone Trail. Hearty breakfasts feature homemade preserves made in this farmhouse kitchen.
- Is now closed unfortunately.
- Your next stop, Davenports Farm Shop, is just 15 minutes’ drive away. Set next to the Trent and Mersey Canal and close to favourite walking and cycling routes, the tea room here is a popular stop-off.
- A 20-minute drive will bring you to Norton Priory Museum & Gardens. Stroll around its Georgian walled garden to see the collection of old-fashioned trees, including quinces and medlars, which you can buy in season.
- Continue on for 10 minutes to the Walton Lea Project, a community programme offering life chances to adults with learning difficulties, selling fruit and vegetables grown in the walled garden.
- Shelly’s Restaurant, an eight-minute drive away, is your next stop. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are offered on the extensive and ever-changing menu, made from local ingredients.
- A quarter of an hour’s drive will bring you to Kenyon Hall Farm, one of the county’s most established pick-your-own farms. There’s a shop here, too, selling food produced in the farmhouse kitchen.
- Your final stop is Bents Garden and Home, eight minutes away by car. As well as a huge selection of products for the home and garden, there’s an equally vast offering in the food hall, café and the Fresh Approach Restaurant.
