- Start your journey at Ciro’s Brasserie in The Grosvenor Pulford Hotel and Spa, where head chef Leigh Myers serves modern European food in a romantic Mediterranean-themed dining room.
- Your next stop, the Grosvenor Garden Centre, is just a few minutes down the road. You can stock up on local treats for the kitchen, as well as the garden, in the food department and at the monthly farmers’ market.
- Keeping to the horticultural theme, head to Ness Botanic Gardens, a half-hour drive away on the Wirral peninsula. This fascinating collection of plants was started by Arthur Kilpin Bulley in 1898. Grab a snack from the homemade fare in the café.
- Next, check out Julian’s Restaurant, a half-hour’s drive north west. The eponymous chef offers innovative food in an intimate dining room.
- You’re now a 20-minute drive from Claremont Farm, near Bebington. If you arrive in season, stop to pick your own fresh fruit from their fields. Otherwise the farm shop has plenty of goodies to choose from.
- Onward to Walk Mill, approximately 30 minutes by car, built a couple of years ago by Caroline Jones and her Father. Find out how she produces flour and try cakes baked with her flour in the café.
