Made In Cheshire

Made in Cheshire is the official body representing the wide range of wonderful food and drink producers in the region. Our rolling countryside is perfect for raising good quality beef, lamb and pork whilst our salt rich soil provides the unique characteristics found in our famous Cheshire cheese. Amongst other fruit and vegetables, we successfully grow acres of delicious asparagus, juicy apples, perfect potatoes and Cheshire also houses the national collection of quince at Norton Priory. Whether you are looking for cheese, vegetables, chillies, apples, meat, jams and beers, you can find it here in Cheshire.

We are proud to have such a great range of food and drink produced in Cheshire and much has been recognised as being the best in the country winning awards from competitions all over the United Kingdom. To name but a few, the Cheshire Cheese Company won Gold at the International Cheese Awards 2011 and are the current Cheese Rolling Champions and The Great North Pie Co have recently been awarded ‘Best vegetarian pie’ in the country at The Great British Pie Awards. Those with special dietary needs are well catered for with rare breed sausage makers Pig & Co beating supermarket brands to win their category in the prestigious national FreeFrom food awards with their Roman Lucanian sausages. We also host the renowned annual International Cheese awards in Nantwich attracting entries from all over the world.

We work very closely with both the University of Chester and Reaseheath college to create opportunities to help our local producers to grow their businesses.

Our members can regularly be found showcasing their products across Cheshire's many markets and also at Taste Cheshire events and festivals, throughout the year – see our Farm Shops & Farmers Market page for more information.
