walk mill flour

A watermill, driven by the River Gowy, has been standing on the site of Walk Mill for centuries. But the building you'll see today was constructed just over a few years ago, a labour of love by Ben Jones, who salvaged original features and largely replicated the former structure.

Ben produces up to a ton of stoneground wholemeal, white and malted flour a day from wheat grown in the surrounding fields - climb the stairs to find out how the process works. Flour that isn't sold to local shops and delis is made in to the bread and cakes sold in the cosy, onsite cafe - The Millers Kitchen.
