Taste Cheshire are keen to let everyone know about all the wonderful places there are to eat right across our county. If you live in Cheshire or are just visiting, you'll find something to suit here on our website; whether you are looking for fine dining, a delicious lunch in a beautiful country pub or the best street food at a bustling market.
At the top end we have Simon Radley at his eponymous Restaurant at the Chester Grosvenor which has retained it's Michelin Star since 1990 and holds 4 AA Rosettes. Another Michelin Star Chef, Michael Caines can frequently be seen overseeing operations at his fifth floor restaurant at ABode in Chester as can television Chef Simon Rimmer at his successful restaurant Earle in Hale.
The Michelin Guide also recently awarded Joseph Benjamin in Chester a prestigious Bib Gourmand which celebrates those venues "offering high-quality products and services and good value for money." Sticky Walnut in Hoole is also getting noticed by food lovers for its top quality but un-faffy food made from scratch using only the best ingredients.
If you are looking for a hearty lunch and a warm welcome in a beautiful rural setting, visit one of our excellent local pubs. The Ring O'Bells in Christleton has been given the current 'Cheshire Life Dining Pub of the Year' Award and The Yew Tree in Bunbury has won Cheshire Pub of the Year in our own Marketing Cheshire Awards 2013 as well as Cheshire Dining Pub 2014 in the Good Pub Guide.
Family days out can include a top quality meal with excellent restaurants and cafes at many of our visitor attractions and garden centres. Some of our restaurants are perfectly suited to catering for children such as Hickory's Smokehouse in Chester for a great American BBQ which won the Family Friendly Award at the recent Chester Food & Drink Awards.
We also have a range of excellent ethnic restaurants including Siam Teppanyaki near Chester railway station. Try something more unusual like Jabula authentic South African restaurant or delicious Cypriot food at The Stolen Lamb in Wilmslow.
All of these chefs are keen to showcase the best local seasonal produce. The salt plains of Cheshire provide the perfect growing conditions for asparagus for example and we excell at growing potatoes and cultivate a huge number of different apple varieties. No respectable local cheeseboard is complete without our famous crumbly Cheshire Cheese and we even have Peckforton Hills, our own brand of bottled spring water.
