Charming Willaston Country Pub, Pollards, is preparing to enter a new era after it was announced that the pub will be refurbished this summer.
The business owned by villagers Jamie and Cara Kimpton said the emphasis would be on ‘lovingly refurbishing Pollards into a jewel of a Country pub’.
Pollards Inn, has been at the heart of village life for some 30 years and is known for its warm welcome. Speaking about the planned transformation of Pollards, Jamie Kimpton commented: “We’re excited to be returning Pollards to its rightful place as the true heart and soul of the village and surrounding area. We’re unveiling an exciting new menu which will be served by Head Chef Ged Smith alongside the legendary Chef, Paul Askew of London Carriage Works, Liverpool and credible food ambassador for the North West. In addition to this Pollards will also unveil a suite of new beautifully designed bedrooms making this a truly special venue in a stunning location.”
Pollards will close for refurbishment from Monday 2nd July until Thursday 12th July when they will reopen with an official launch party at which local children’s hospice, Claire House, will be presented with a cheque for £8300 – monies raised from Pollards recent Charity Dinner event which was held in their new marquee in the exquisite Pollards grounds.
“The refurbishment and re-launch marks the start of a new era for Pollards and we’re looking forward to greeting familiar faces as well as to welcoming new customers from the wider local area.” said Jamie.
