Hatley Farm Visits

Set in the beautiful Cheshire countryside, Hatley Farm and Depmore Farm are two farms run as one by the Warburton Brothers, Graham and Geoff. The holding is approx 800 acres, mostly arable, growing wheat, barley, oilseed rape, potatoes and grass. We specialise in early potatoes. We buy calves and rear them until fully grown. They are then sold to local butchers. You will be able to see the full range of farming operations depending on the time of year and how and why we do them. The farm has two Sites of Biological Importance (SBIs). It has a range of soil types from sand to heavy clay, which dictates and influences farming operations.
There is a wide range of wildlife, ponds, and bird habitat.
Farm activities include machinery demonstrations, meadows, potato grading, farmland birds and picking crops.
Farm animals include: beef cattle, horses, sheep and lambs, chicks, goslings, ducks and kittens (depending on season). Children are encouraged to handle our baby animals and sit on the tractors.
Farm tours can be tailor-made to visitor’s requirements.
We are a working family farm and for safety reasons visits are strictly by prior appointment. All visits are free of charge.
