Events & Festivals

The first event of the year is the Chester Food and Drink festival which takes place at Chester Racecourse at Easter. With almost 30,000 people attending it kicks off the food events in the county.

In June the Congleton Food Festival runs through the streets of this wonderful market town, with lots of local traders, events for kids and a great family feel it grows every year as people discover this special rural event.

Later this is followed by the Nantwich Food and Drink Festival in September, The Cheshire Food Festival in September and the North West Food Lovers festival at Tatton Park in October.

Our nearby neighbours stage the Wirral Food Festival in August making a huge array of quality food events right across the spring, summer and autumn period.

Look out for the taste Cheshire pavilion at major events, like the Bolesworth Classic in June, the Cheshire Show, Cholmondley Pageant of Power and Celebrate Cheshire, all major events that will be featuring Cheshire food producers to enhance your visitor experience.

Cheshire's food festivals celebrate the best of food and drink in Chester and Cheshire.

Outside of festival time for a healthy serving of seasonal produce visit your local Farmers Market, one of the best is at the Grosvenor Garden Centre. Why not download full list of Farmers Markets in Cheshire and then be prepared to take yet another journey through our taste sensations.
